Our weekend

Saturday morning we got up and decided to go for a walk before it got too cold out. Noah of course LOVES his walks... although Mom discovered that Noah is now too heavy for her to walk any distance with him in the Baby Bjorn, my back hurt quite bad when we got home.

And we're home... just woke up (see the paci marks on his face?)


Then of course Dad wanted to have a photoshoot with Noah while Mom showered...




Sunday we went to church and then of course Mom had been dying to get some Easter pictures of Noah (missing the bunny ears and the nice outfit).



I also slept completely through the night on Sunday, from 10:15 to 6:30... on my tummy! We know that this is a "no-no", but we also found it's the only way I'll sleep unswaddled. And, I have good head/neck support, so I think I'll be okay.

Went to see Grandma and Grandpa

We decided to drive up to Chiloquin on Saturday just because we got a wild hair.... once we hit Klamath Falls Noah started to get a bit fussy, so I got in the back seat with him. I was making his toys "dance" to distract him and he started laughing at me! It was the sweetest sound I've ever heard!!!
We had a good 24 hours, even though Noah never sleeps too good up there. We got to relax, and of course Grandma was MORE than happy to hold Noah for the majority of the time... and snuggle him while he slept.
Grandma also didn't mind if we let Noah hang out naked a little... which he LOVED!

All in all, a GREAT weekend, just way too short.

Laughing

Last night when I got home Jesse had a surprise for me. He had me close my eyes and he started playing a tape of Noah laughing! Jesse was saying "Ah Boo" to Noah and he would chuckle... then repeat. It was the sweetest sound my ears have ever heard! He typically only does it for Jes... but the fact that it's now recorded for my listening pleasure makes me SO HAPPY! I hope he starts doing it more and more. (Jesse knew how bad I wanted to hear this, so he gets the husband/daddy of the year award for catching it on tape).

Two pounds in three weeks!

We took Noah back to the doctor yesterday because he seemed to be getting more raspy and his cough seemed to be getting worse as well. The doctor did put him on some cough medicine and it seems to be helping, we got more sleep last night then we've gotten in the past week. BUT.... the nurse weighed him and he weighed 16lbs 14oz... this is up two pounds from three weeks ago. He is growing like a weed!!! What a good boy he is.

Sick...

Me and Noah have been sick since Wednesday. Noah woke us up around 1:00 am Wednesday morning with a fever of 102.8. (first fever for Mom and Dad to deal with) We called the oncall doctor who advised us to just give him some tylenol. We put some cool rags on him and I fed him and then we tried to give him some Tylenol, only to have him throw it up all over me. We get it cleaned up and start the process over again... to again have him throw it up all over. :( So, the tylenol was a no go. We finally got him calmed down and cooled off a little for all of us to get some sleep. He went to the doctor on Wednesday we were told it's just a virus, nothing we can do except to make sure his breathing stays consistant. I got sick on Wednesday night, Thursday I felt like I got ran over by a truck, making it really tough to function. I ran a fever through yesterday, topping out about the same as Noah's. Today being Saturday... we are both better. Noah still has a bad cough and wants to sleep a lot, and I'm still nauseous with a bad cough too, but we're on the mend I think. And poor Jes has been fighting off a sore throat for about two weeks now. And he has taken GREAT care of me and Noah while we were down. What a good husband and dad.
