Happy Father's Day, Jes...

The moment I fell in love with Jesse I knew he was going to make a wonderful father. He's very patient, loving, and dedicated. I fell in love him all over again when I saw him holding Noah for the first time. He IS a wonderful Father, he knows how to get Noah to laugh when I can't, he knows how to distract him when he's about ready to start crying, he goes and gets him in the middle of the night and changes him, and he'll even hang out with him in the morning before work if he's up. The love he has for Noah is undeniable...
For Father's Day he just wanted to spend a little time at the river with his family, and we did just that.

I know Jesse can't wait for the day that Noah asks to go to the river, or the day that Noah loves the water and we can't get him out. But, in the mean time, I think Noah looks pretty happy and content down at his dad's favorite place in the world.

Busy, busy boy

Noah has been eating butternut squash for about two weeks now. He seems to really like it. We went to Grandma Suep's this weekend and thought we brought enough squash. But Noah was acting hungry still so we gave him a little in the afternoon and couldn't find more. We opted to try the Acorn squash... in which we got a face of "I don't like this" followed by him throwing it up all over after about 4 bites. Onto carrots... he thought they were okay. We tried again later and he seemed to really like them. Butternut squash is about out of season now, so I think we'll switch. He is acting like his belly might be hurting a little, so we may slow down for now.

Noah has started getting on all fours like he really wants to crawl. We've seen him move forward with one leg, then topple over, but he's doing so good! And he's sitting up like a champ!

Grandma also bought him a walker since he has one at Auntie Coalie's and loves it, he thought it was pretty cool to be hanging out in the kitchen, especially since all the windows are lower and he can see out of them. He was quite content... that is until Papa Larry started the blender and scared the daylights out of him. :)

And a few more pictures for your viewing pleasure....

Sure looks like he's contemplating something

And I'm spent....

Teaspoon and Noah

We've decided that Teaspoon is our "Waldo" as in "Where's Waldo". She is in the background of all of our pictures. Noah absolutely LOVES her, anytime she is within eye range of him, he's smiling at her. He loves to watch her play ball, and he loves when she licks on him. They are going to be best buddies.

Notice how they are both looking at Jesse like they want some too?

Noah is loving his cereal even more. His Grandma Suep was watching him yesterday and she ended up making him more cereal because he was acting as if he was very disappionted that the tablespoon that she made him was gone. He's very much anticipating bites.

And to end on... last Saturday we had a day of relaxation at home, and Noah was more than happy to take a nap while being held by his mom. Then later that night... as he always gets fussy in the evening, he was a bit cranky. I have been wanting to capture a picture of him with his lip out, and have been unsuccessful, so this is what we get.

First Solids! Rice cereal

Today we gave Noah his first taste of solid food, some rice cereal mixed with milkies. He LOVED it! He ate it like he's been eating it for weeks. He slopped it right up! He was even opening his mouth waiting for the next bite! SO SWEET! I can't believe he is on solid foods already... He's growing so fast! Makes me sad.
Jes got some GREAT pictures of him eating though...

A weekend at Grandma's and a Day at Turtle Bay

We started our weekend off in Chiloquin where the weather was absolutely gorgeous... Noah got to spend some good quality time with Grandma and he even slept good up there!! (This is a big deal for us). He got to play a lot in his Bumbo seat on the counter while the rest of us were in the kitchen. He LOVED the spoons that Grandma gave him to play with.

Jesse was playing with a dishtowel with Noah too... and decided to take advantage of the photo shoot opportunity.... look at those beautiful baby blues

On to Turtle Bay on Monday.... We had a great time. We have a lot of pictures of Turtle Bay... but I'm just going to post the few with Noah in them.
This is Noah and cousin Colter... pretty cute, huh?

Noah the bunny... I just couldn't resist his sweet face

Noah hanging out while the rest of us enjoy the yummy lunch that Grandma Shirley packed for all of us.

And.... tuckered out after a day at Turtle Bay

Teething little man

Noah has been really teething for about a week... his mouth hurts, he was waking up about 6-8 times a night, drooling like a faucet, and wanting to be held a lot. He's still teething, but we seem to be on the downhill side for now. He still has a nasty little nose, but seems fine otherwise. He even slept 10.5 hours last night!!

A tuckered out little man.... notice all the drool on my shirt?

This weekend we went down to the river so Jesse could check the water levels and so he could get his fix of Sims. It was pretty cold down there, so we bundled Noah up with everything we had in the car (as you can tell)
Leslie bought Noah a new seat this past weekend too... expect pictures of him in his new seat SOON!
