Busy weekend

This weekend ended up being a lot more busy than we had anticipated. We were hardly home at all. We did get to hang out at home on Friday night though, and Noah is learning that he can just about pull him self up on anything and everything, and we make a BIG deal about it so he knows what a good job he's done

He was talking up a storm once he got stood up

This is his innocent "who me?" look that he gives us

Saturday morning we got up and went for a little walk to Mossbrae Falls... just to get some exercise and get out in the fresh morning air.

And of course.... the hikes are very tiring for Noah's little legs

Saturday afternoon we had a birthday party for Hunter, who just turned one! We spent a few hours at the park with other little ones, and Noah ate some animal crackers (this is a big deal since he gags on anything textured) Notice the crumbs all over his mouth?

Hunter was mad his mom had walked away from him

Sunday we had another birthday party for a little man turning one... so back to the park we went. One of Noah's girlfriends Charlotte happened to be there, so it was a play date. She is quite a bit more aggressive than him, she was pulling him over to her, she pulled him down and kind of rolled on top of him... which made him really mad. I guess he'll have to learn to handle his own.

She looks like she's saying "Come and gimme a kiss". Noah is actually already peeved at this point

And then he was happy to be in the swing!

And as every evening ends for Noah... in the bathtub. He's already a "joico" baby

The love of a mom

I read a lot of articles on the internet, a lot of them are brought to my attention by women on my baby board... and I read TWO yesterday that were about abuse of little ones. Last night I had changed Noah's diaper and since it was about bath time I left all of his clothes off and let him crawl around. As he was sitting with his back towards me and I saw the frame of his little body, I started getting choked up wondering how ANY mother could intentionally hurt her baby, or any baby for that matter. It really makes me hold Noah that much tigther, and kiss him that many more times.
Here is a picture of two little body frames from the back... so, so sweet.

Noah, a pilot?

Some great family friends of ours have this little plane, that was built from scratch. It's amazing really, it has petals, a joy stick for steering, and the propeller even moves when it's being pushed (or peddled). So, we took the opportunity for Noah to get behing the wheel...er.. propeller. He's a bit short for it, but in a year or two, he'll think it's pretty cool. I think he enjoyed it, and of course the photo opp was awesome.

Seriously.... could he get any cuter? I didn't think so.

Another new trick!

So, I know that pictures of crying babies is really sad, and not very many people like them, but I had to get a picture of Noah's new trick! And since he's rarely in his crib during the day (since we're at work all day), it was the only chance I had to snap the picture. Usually by the time he goes in there at night, he's cranky. And since he hasn't been sleeping good, he doesn't wake up in his crib in the morning all happy like most babies.

Yep.... he's figured out how to stand up in there. Neither of us know if he knows how to get down once he's up, but I haven't heard him topple over. We go in there every few minutes and lay him back down... which angers him more.

Pictures....as promised

Two weekends ago we went on Jesse's aunt and uncles houseboat for the night. It was supposed to be two nights, but Noah cried enough going to sleep the first night we figured we'd be better off to go home on Saturday. It was Noah's first time in his life jacket and in the water. He cried at first with me... then thought it was okay. Obviously he didn't like it much with Jes the next day. ;)
Then on that Sunday we went to the lake because a bunch of people from church were going to be out there with their kids. Noah and I went for a tiny ride on a raft and he seemed to really like that.

This past week went to Jesse's parents for a few days and got to relax, until Noah and I came down with a cold. Noah did learn however to pull himself up on the couch this past weekend at home... unfortunately we missed it with the camera, and he has yet to do it again.
Sitting on Grandma's lap... this face just cracked me up

And he seems like he has just found his tongue again... he loves to suck on his upper lip

And I have a picture of Jesse when he was about 3 that he kind of stuck his lip out like this... I can't wait to see how much he looks like Jesse when he's a toddler.

Those are a few of the pictures we have right now... I'll try to post more after I resize the pictures.

9 months old!

Well, Noah has actually been 9 months since the 10th (11 days ago), but he went to the doctor last Tuesday and here are his stats....
Height: 28 1/4 inches, 2" longer than he was three months ago... that's a lot of growing in three months!
Weight: 17lbs, 7oz, that is one pound more than he was three months ago. I guess he went down on the chart for his weight, but his doctor said that if he goes by the visual test, he's doing just fine. His legs and cheeks are still chubby. He said we'll see how he does next time. Basicaly, he's doing great!

He's really moving now, he's all over the house. He loves to crawl directly at Teaspoon's water and make a mess in it, so we finally had to move that. And he pulled himself up on the couch yesterday! Big milestone for him!
I'll post pictures tomorrow or the next day... I just wanted his 9 month post to get done first.

His own little quirk

Noah has a new quirk that is all his own. The other morning he was asleep in our bed and I noticed he had his little knees tucked up underneath his body, with his little butt in the air. Jesse said he'd been doing it for a couple of days now (Jesse gets up before me, checks on Noah, etc). I love it. I think it's adorable! Even last night when I was done nursing him at 12:30 and put him on me to burp him, the first thing he did was pull his knees up under him like he was in his crib.
