2 year anniversary and our vacation

Jesse and I celebrated our two year anniversary last Tuesday... I really can't believe we've been married for that long, it seems crazy. We spent the whole week on the ocean, which was also our first family vacation. The last time Jes and I were there was for our anniversary last year... and I was big and pregnant. ;)
We mostly just relaxed, spent some time at the beach, and enjoyed Noah (who turned 11 months last Wednesday). What a great week!

Me and Jes on our two year anniversary

What did you just give me to eat??

Playing on the beach

On Saturday we tried to "do" his hair... it lasted about 2 minutes in the car and it all laid back down. He must have his mom's hair.

Auntie Coalie....

Auntie Coalie has came to our rescue and been watching Noah every spare minute she has since I'm still struggling with finding a daycare or someone to watch him. It's very safe to say that Noah is very content and at home with her and at her house. Well, yesterday Grandma Sue came down to watch him, so he had TWO women doting on him all day long.
I go to pick him up after work and was told what a good boy he was all day and that he took a good nap. Photo's below....

How freakin' cute!!!!

Busy weekend

This weekend ended up being a lot more busy than we had anticipated. We were hardly home at all. We did get to hang out at home on Friday night though, and Noah is learning that he can just about pull him self up on anything and everything, and we make a BIG deal about it so he knows what a good job he's done

He was talking up a storm once he got stood up

This is his innocent "who me?" look that he gives us

Saturday morning we got up and went for a little walk to Mossbrae Falls... just to get some exercise and get out in the fresh morning air.

And of course.... the hikes are very tiring for Noah's little legs

Saturday afternoon we had a birthday party for Hunter, who just turned one! We spent a few hours at the park with other little ones, and Noah ate some animal crackers (this is a big deal since he gags on anything textured) Notice the crumbs all over his mouth?

Hunter was mad his mom had walked away from him

Sunday we had another birthday party for a little man turning one... so back to the park we went. One of Noah's girlfriends Charlotte happened to be there, so it was a play date. She is quite a bit more aggressive than him, she was pulling him over to her, she pulled him down and kind of rolled on top of him... which made him really mad. I guess he'll have to learn to handle his own.

She looks like she's saying "Come and gimme a kiss". Noah is actually already peeved at this point

And then he was happy to be in the swing!

And as every evening ends for Noah... in the bathtub. He's already a "joico" baby

The love of a mom

I read a lot of articles on the internet, a lot of them are brought to my attention by women on my baby board... and I read TWO yesterday that were about abuse of little ones. Last night I had changed Noah's diaper and since it was about bath time I left all of his clothes off and let him crawl around. As he was sitting with his back towards me and I saw the frame of his little body, I started getting choked up wondering how ANY mother could intentionally hurt her baby, or any baby for that matter. It really makes me hold Noah that much tigther, and kiss him that many more times.
Here is a picture of two little body frames from the back... so, so sweet.

Noah, a pilot?

Some great family friends of ours have this little plane, that was built from scratch. It's amazing really, it has petals, a joy stick for steering, and the propeller even moves when it's being pushed (or peddled). So, we took the opportunity for Noah to get behing the wheel...er.. propeller. He's a bit short for it, but in a year or two, he'll think it's pretty cool. I think he enjoyed it, and of course the photo opp was awesome.

Seriously.... could he get any cuter? I didn't think so.
