HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The costume pictures will have to wait until Monday... but we did put a Halloween shirt on Noah this morning so he would feel "in the spirit" of the holiday. He was not in the mood to cooperate this morning... in our rush of the morning. I had to load up the cupcakes I made for the Harvest festival at the church, then of course the "Extra" cupcakes for all of our friends and family, and then pack up the diaper bag, Noah's lunch, etc. And, Noah likes to just hang out in the morning, so these are the best pictures we could get. (you can see I had to call in the big guns, a.k.a. DAD to help me out.

Bath time fun....

Jesse usually gives Noah a bath while I do some quick chores or get Noah's stuff ready for when he gets out of the bath... and every once in a while I'll hear "Ter, get the camera, QUICK". And this is what I see.

God's promise

Those of you that really know me know that I have a lot of anxiety, especially since my mom died. I feel like I live in fear of something happening to me or a loved one... and although I know God promises to take care of me, I have a hard time LETTING him follow through.
Taria was reading in a book that was given to her, and came across a passage that she wrote down for me to read... a constant reminder of the fear that I need to quit letting control me... I'm just letting the devil in on my weak wall.

"I know your heart, and I know how much you love those close to you. I am your creator, and the giver of every good gift. I have given you loved ones to share your life with. But you, My Child, must remember that those you love ultimately belong to me-not to you. I didn't give you those special relationships to tear you apart or to control you through fear of the future. Like Abraham did with his only son, Isaac, I need you to open your heart and give back to Me those you love. Trust Me with everything that concerns you regarding them. Place your hand in Mine, and I promist I will walk you-and your loved ones through all things this life brings."
Love,
Your Trustworthy King
Psalm 125:1

Our Weekend

The weekends are obviously our favorite two days of the week, not because we don't have to work, but because we get undivided time with our sweet, sweet son. I also try to make the weekend days more special, starting off with a yummy breakfast (rather than the weekly breakfast of oatmeal with fruit in it). So, Saturday started off with some banana buckwheat pancakes (in which Noah ate a WHOLE pancake). Then we headed to Lithia Park for some family pictures by our great friend, Taryn. What an amazing day! Auntie TT and Auntie Coalie... and the boys came along. We have a FEW sneak peak pictures... but then you will have to wait to get our Christmas card to see the professional ones... sorry. As hard as it will be to not display them or brag about them... we have to save SOMETHING for the holidays.
Sunday we got up and headed for church. Then we cleaned a little house, made a little soup, finished up some craft projects (picture of Noah's newest blanket below) and took Noah to the park where he loved the swings, but not as much as he loved going down the slide on Mom's lap. All in all, a wonderful weekend.

Our little family.... (I think this was before or after the kiss to my cheek, he never really BIT me... as it looks like he's going to). :)

Cute little backside

This is Noah's newest blanket. He already has one that I made him, but I'm a little anal about keeping it clean, so it was a necessity to have a back up. He LOVES his blanket, and it's a comfort to him while he's with babysitters during the week and at nap time.

On the weekends I always try to soak in a few extra special moments with Noah that I miss out on during the week. I had nursed him and he fell asleep in my arms. I couldn't resist holding him for a little bit while he enjoyed dream land.

I will never get tired of looking at this face!

Noah's one year stats....

Well, Noah's doctor's appointment was actually on the 15th, so I'm a bit behind as usual.
He weighed in at 18lbs, 2oz. He is 29 inches long...
With that said he has actually gone down on his percentages. The doctor isn't too concerned because me and Jesse aren't built very big either. He's healthy, he's happy, he's progressing both physically and vocally, etc. Healthy, happy one year old.

The Pumpkin Patch!

We finally made it up to the Pumpkin Patch yesterday... Noah's first visit. It was a perfect day too, the weather was chilled, but not cold, and the sun was out. Noah liked watched all the people, he didn't mind being sat on pumpkins or haybails for pictures, and he sure looked cute!
